Con el eslogan “Pianos for Paraguay” (Pianos para Paraguay) el tenor y pianista paraguayo Diego Delvalle, con el apoyo de Pittsburgh Festival Opera, está llevando a cabo un proyecto que beneficiará al Conservatorio de Música “Sofía Mendoza”, de la Facultad de Ciencias, Tecnologías y Artes de la Universidad Nacional de Pilar (UNP).

Diego, que en mayo pasado viajó a los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica para una especialización, decidió iniciar una campaña para conseguir, por medio de donaciones, instrumentos musicales para el citado Conservatorio en donde se desempeña como profesor de piano, de arte escénico y dirigió la zarzuela María Pacuri.

Dentro de las actividades realizadas para lograr su objetivo y costear el posterior envío de los instrumentos, el artista realiza una gira denominada The Song of my Forest (Sonidos de mi Selva), cuyo repertorio está compuesta por músicas paraguayas inspiradas en la naturaleza.

Hasta la fecha, el profesor recibió la donación de un piano de cola, tres pianos verticales, guitarras, clarinete y otros instrumentos, como así también la donación de sumas de dinero. 

“Este proyecto se inició como un sueño de hacer un cambio importante para muchas personas que viven en el interior de Paraguay”, dijo Diego con respecto a su proyecto. Señaló que están asombrados por lo que van consiguiendo, “porque cada día encontramos personas que se unen a nosotros en esta causa. Ahora que el sueño se está volviendo real, estamos recibiendo más instrumentos y recolectando lo que es necesario para su envío. Esto no podría ser posible sin la bondad de la gente”, remarcó.

El profesor recibe el apoyo de los residentes de la ciudad de Pittsburgh e incluso los medios locales se hicieron eco de su iniciativa destacando los recitales que realiza. Dentro de su gira ya estuvo en otras ciudades como Detroit, Pensilvania y Michigan

PROFESSOR OF THE CONSERVATORY OF THE UNP GETS IMPORTANT DONATION OF MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS

With the slogan “Pianos for Paraguay”, the Paraguayan tenor and pianist Diego Delvalle, with the support of Pittsburgh Opera Festival, is carrying out a project that will benefit the Conservatory of Music “Sofia Mendoza”, of the Faculty of Sciences, Technologies and Arts of the National University of Pilar (UNP).

Diego, who last May traveled to the United States of America for a specialization, decided to start a campaign to obtain, through donations, musical instruments for the aforementioned Conservatory where he works as a piano teacher, performing arts teacher and directed the zarzuela María Pacuri.

Within the activities carried out to achieve its objective and pay for the subsequent delivery of the instruments, the artist performs a tour called The Song of My Forest, whose repertoire is composed of Paraguayan music inspired by nature.

To date, the teacher received the donation of a grand piano, three vertical pianos, guitars, clarinet and other instruments, as well as the donation of sums of money.

“This project began as a dream to make an important change for many people living in the interior of Paraguay”, Diego said of his project. He said they are amazed by what they are getting, “because every day we find people who join us in this cause. Now that the dream is becoming real, we are receiving more instruments and collecting what is necessary for its delivery. This could not be possible without the kindness of the people”, he remarked.

The professor receives the support of the residents of the city of Pittsburgh and even the local media echoed his initiative highlighting the recitals he performs. Within his tour he was already in other cities such as Detroit, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
